Alicia Stinson

Alicia Stinson is currently a PhD Student at the School of Social Work. Her dissertation research interest is to study the Effects of Spiritual Life Reviews with Older Adults residing at an Assisted Living Facility.
Stinson is the recipient of the following awards: USF – Distinguished Achievement in Graduate Studies (2010), John A. Hartford Doctoral Fellows Pre-Dissertation Award (2008-2009), and The American Cancer Society Master’s Training Grant in Clinical Oncology Social Work (2005).
She has had the opportunity to teach the following classes at the USF School of Social Work to both MSW and BSW level students; Present - Visiting Faculty teaching Field Instruction Sequence II and Multi Methods of Social Work Practice II – Macro System Intervention; 2009 -2010 Adjunct Faculty teaching Human Behavior and The Social Environment I and Spirituality and Social Work Practice; 2008 Assistant Adjunct Faculty co-teaching Individual Growth and Developmental Theory and Alternative Approaches to Clinical Practice.

She has extensive clinical social work practice working with individuals (patients) and families in various settings including; medical oncology, medical organ transplant, incarcerated women, delinquent youth, alternative community programs, and kinship families.
